The Governor Yahaya Bello you don’t know – Hon Abdullkarim Usman Isah (Wambai).

The immediate past member of the House of Representatives for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Alhaji Abdulkarim Usman Isah (Wambai), has extolled the qualities of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, describing him as a detribalised and unifying figure in the state.

Wambai in a statement issued in Abuja by his Media Aide, Onogwu Martins said the negative picture some people tend to paint about the governor was actually not the true representation and reflection of whom he really is.

He said those who only viewed the Governor from afar but failed to objectively study his activities and personality closely, often tend to be misled into arriving at a wrong judgement.

“One jinx that Governor Yahaya Bello has broken is that of putting aside all forms of tribalism and carrying all the segments of the state along in his government.

“He was the first governor in the history of the state to have chosen his Chief of Staff from another ethnic group thus fostering the bond of unity, cohesion and oneness in the Confluence State”, he said .

He said the governor opened the doors of his administration very wide to all the people of the state not minding their tribes, religion or status, adding that a lot of youths without political godfathers were opportune to serve under the New Direction Government.

The former lawmaker also noted that the building of a Chapel at the Government House by the Yahaya Bello’s administration was another commendable move that would further strengthen the bond of religious harmony and tolerance in the state.

He lauded the New Direction Government of Governor Yahaya Bello for his achievements in the areas of health, education, human capital development, agriculture, civil service reforms, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment despite the limited resources available to the state.

Wambai called on the people of the state to live in harmony and give their unalloyed supports to the new administration to enable them bring more dividends of democracy to the state.
