Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has inspected and inaugurated 174 solar Direct Drive Refrigerators worth over one billion Naira donated to the state government by GAVI , Bill and Malinda gates Foundation to boost immunization coverage across the state.
The equipment will be installed in 174 focal healthcare facilities in the 25 local government areas of the state.
Governor Abubakar sani Bello, while inspecting the equipment in minna, appreciated the Donors explaining that they would improve health care services in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Mohammed Makunsidi said the equipment would serve over one thousand health facilities offering routine immunization, benefit three hundred thousand (300,000) pregnant women and one point two million children under five years of age annually.
