A 30 years old man identify as Hussain Zubairu has been arrested by Okene Police division in Kogi State for allegedly stabbs neighbour wife, Bose Muhammed who is pregnant with scissors over little disagreement between them to death.
Eyewitness who speaks to newsmen on condition of anonymous said that Zubairu and the pregnant woman live in the Idogido community of Okene local government area of Kogi state were the incident happened.
The source told newsmen that late Bose had a friend who paid her a visit last Monday, so Bose and her friend were discussing about lost phone when Zubairu interfere, Bose warn Zubairu not to ever interfere with their discussion, that what lead to altercations between both of them, Zubairu was who was furious, allegedly attacks the woman with scissors.
She was said to have been rush to hospital but died on the way to the hospital due to excess bleeding she sustaind from the stabbs.
The source also disclosed that Zubairu is a well known to be violent in the area.
He said “On that day, the victim and her friend were chatting and he interrupted. She told him to mind his business and that infuriated him. He removed a pair of scissors he hid in his trousers, stabbed her in the stomach and fled.
“The woman lost a lot of blood. She was pronounced dead on getting to the hospital. She was pregnant, but was not living with her husband,”.
Confirming the report, Mr. William Ayah, Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, said that the case had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, further said that the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
“The suspect and the deceased were neighbours. There was an argument between them. A friend of the deceased lost a mobile phone, which she later found.
“The friend was discussing the issue with the deceased when the suspect interrupted. She (Muhammed) challenged him for doing so and it degenerated into an argument.
“In the process, the suspect used a pair of scissors to stab her. She died on the way to the hospital,” he explained.
