Foreign Investors seek Agricultural Partnership with Kogi, begins Mechanised Green House Pilot Project

A delegation of The International Confederation of Agriculture and Food led by its president, Mr. Hakal yuksal on Wednessday met with Kogi State Government to seek Agricultural partnership.

The delegation which was also in company of a Turkey based investment Company, said they will commence mechanised green house pilot project with a plan to further colaborate with the state towards other beneficial ends.

Mr. Yuksal expressed delightnes to be in the State noting that their Agricultural investment would be hinged on developing rural areas within the state

He pointed out that Agricultural products including Cassava, Palm Oil and Cashew would be economically explored noting that markets would be created before they are produced.

Responding to the delegation, the State Governor represented by the Chief of Staff, Pharm. Jamiu Muhammed noted that the state was planning towards boosting it economy through diversification and agriculture was top priority in the government’s agenda

He mentioned that the state was one of the most privileged state in the country with numerous opportunities as it boarders about ten other states including the Federal Capital Territory.

In the area of agriculture, He pointed out that the State remained the largest producer of cassava and cashew affirming that they made the right choice selecting Kogi State for their project.

He assured them that Kogi state is rated top in combating issues of insecurities and other vices assuring that their security and other prospective investors of the state were adequately guaranteed.

He notified the investors that the state was not strange to the idea of a green house farm but was also opened to more of such opportunities.
