Governor Bello worried on the rise of insecurity in Kogi, give aides eight week to end criminality in Kogi State

The executive governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello, again worried about the rise of insecurity in Kogi State.

The Governor who speak with his aides in Lokoja the State capital on the 13th of March 2020, said that anyone found carrying guns, either in the bush or anywhere is criminals and such culprits should be treated as one.

The governor who has vow, never to negotiate with criminals in the state, urges his SSA to fish out those involved in criminality, or chase them away from the State.

He said “We are experiencing some pockets of crimes such as armed robberies, kidnapping, armed bandit and others. This is an acid test for each and every one of you, you should not spear anyone. Anyone carrying guns on the bushes is all criminals and should be treated as such,”

While speaking, governor Bello caution political thugs to stay away from Kogi, Stating that it will not be business as usual.

Recalled that early this year, over 30 people were killed by suspected Fulani’s herdsmen’s in Tawari community at Kogi Local Government area of the State.

Also many travelers were kidnapped rape, torture, before ransom will be paid for their freedoms.

Last week, a House representative member, representing Lokoja-Kogi Kotonkarfe Hon Shaba Ibrahim call on the attention of the federal goverment over incessant kidnapping in his constituency, specifically Kogi Kotonkarfe area of Kogi State.

Shaba Ibrahim said early this year only, over 30 kidnapping and armed robbery case recorded.

He said the people of his constituency, most especially Kogi Kotonkarfe area cannot go farm now, because of fear of been kidnapped.
