Dantata and Sawoe handling Bida Road construction, assures project completion on schedule, according to specification

The Construction Firm handling the Minna-Kataeregi-Bida road, Messrs Dantata and Sawoe has promised to complete the work on schedule and in line with the project’s specifications.

The Vice Chairman the company, Alhaji Mubarak Dantata, who gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the Etsu Nupe at his Wadata Palace in Bida, stressed the socioeconomic importance of the project not only to the state but the country at large.

The delegation of the construction firm were led to the Palace of the Etsu Nupe by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Mubarak Dantata, the company’s Managing Director Udo Heidschuster as well as the state Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Panti.

The Commissioner stated that the scope of the Minna-Bida road now involves the dualization from Kpakungu roundabout to the NECO headquarters while five local government areas will benefit from the project linking the North with the South-West of Nigeria.

The Vice Chairman, Dantata and Sawoe, Alhaji Mubarak Dantata expressed joy over the hospitality accorded them by the Bida Emirate Council and people of the state.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Udo Heidschuster expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed on the company with the promise to be reliable by executing quality work and partner with the state government in future projects aimed at improving infrastructure in the state.

“Everybody have noticed that we have mobilized, they see equipment on site and we have to do some installation works while, already, the preparations for the project proper are going on. Very soon you’ll see full activities on the sites”, he added.

Responding, the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar said the Minna-Bida road, when constructed, will ensure safety of the road users and provide employment opportunities for those to be engaged as workers and officials.

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar charged the company to comply with the project’s Bill of Quantity in order to ease the hardship faced by the road users and to boost economic activities in the state.

The project, which has the duration of eighteen months, is expected to gulp about N23.9 Billion.
