The commissioner of police and the Commandant of the Civil Defense of Nigeria both of Kogi State were received by the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters to the government of Kogi State and his Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye of Igu, Koton Karfe in his Palace. The visit was prompted by the challenges of insecurities that bothers the local communities.
The commissioner of police with his men immediately swung into actions and arrived in chigi community in Kogi local government after receiving news of banditry attacks. But unfortunately, no such thing happened as the information that met his table was totally false.
He further appreciate the efforts of the SSA on security for Kogi LG for providing the enabling environment for all security personnel to key in and admits that the early signs into his administration is a clear proof of his readiness and compliance to work closely with the directives of H.E, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
His Royal Majesty on behalf of the SSA on security matters, Kogi LG in his remarks thanks the commissioner of police and the commandant of the Civil Defense for their proactiveness and assure them of his support where needed.
