COVID-19 PALLIATIVE PACKAGE, SSA ON SECURITY MATTERS, KOGI LOCAL GOVERNMENT DISTRIBUTES BAGS OF RICE ON BEHALF OF THE DISTINGUISHED SEN. SMART ADEYEMI.

As parts of efforts to cushion the effects of the lockdown and stay at home directives of the Federal and State Government, the distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi who Represents Kogi West at the upper Chamber of the National Assembly has Distributed thousands of Bags of 10kg Rice to the good people of Kogi West Senatorial Districts Comprising of 7 Local governments namely; Kogi LG, Yagba East, Yagba west, Mopamuro, Ijumu, Kabba Bunu, and Lokoja LG.

Senator Smart while handing over the bags of rice to the Senior Special Assistants of the respective LGAs Said the Gestures were targeted to Alleviate the sufferings of the people in this season as the world battles with the COVID 19 Pandemic.

He stressed that Coronavirus is real and that it has claimed the life of an high profile personality in person of the Late chief of staff to Mr President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

He encouraged all present to keep social Distance and Adhere strictly by all safety Standards prescribed to avoid the spread of the deadly virus, adding that the items should be distributed without preference to party, tribes and Religion, he said that he represents the entire people of Kogi west and not just the APC.

Hon. Isah Abdulkarim, the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters in charge of Kogi local government while handing the bags of rice to the party chairman for onward distribution on behalf of the senator enjoins the the good of the local government to appreciate this gesture and appealed to them to always remind him in their prayers, adding that despite the little time he has spent in the national Assembly and the current challenges battling the nation and the world at large.

The SSA on Security Matters further expressed joy at the gesture and said it came at a time when it was needed most and expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Kogi Local Government.
