Governor Yahaya Bello condoles with Ex-Borno Governor, Modu Sherrif over father’s loss

The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has commiserated with former Borno State Governor, Alhaji Ali-Modu Sherrif over the death of his father, Alhaji Modu Sherrif, who died from fire incident on Thursday.

The late Modu Sheriff, the father of a former governor of Borno State, Ali Sheriff, died as a result of fire incident that engulfed his Damboa road home in Maiduguri.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, Bello condoled the ex-governor, describing the late Galadima of Borno Emirate, as a great patriarch who lived an exemplary life with remarkable legacies.

Governor Bello further urged the family to accept the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased as the will of Allah, praying God to comfort the family and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“It is always sad and devastating to lose a loved one no matter how old, especially a beloved father

”I know there are no words to comfort you right now; he can only be physically gone but never the life lived and the memories shared. Have faith and be strong.

“My heart goes out to you and your family on the passing of your beloved father, may you find comfort in the loving memories you shared while he was alive. Accept my condolence,” he said.
