Kogi Tribunal: Senator Smart Adeyemi’s Lawyer Chambers Burgled thinking Distinguished Senator smart Adyemi has electoral Documents inside the office.

Armed hoodlums early yesterday morning burgled the Chambers of Senator Smart Adeyemi’s lawyer, Dr. Oladapo Otitoju, located in the Mpape new layout, Abuja.
According to the lawyer, the armed gang, numbering about seven invaded the office at about midnight on yesterday and tied the security mam on duty while their operation lasted.
Dr. Otitoju is the counsel representing Senator Adeyemi at the Kogi State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Senator Dino Melaye is challenging the victory of Senator Adeyemi, at the November 16 and 30th Kogi West senatorial election.
Last week, Senator Melaye closed his case against Senator Adeyemi, after calling his witnesses who gave evidence at the tribunal.
Some of Senator Melaye’s witness had in their evidence told the tribunal that the election was free, fair and without violence.
The office of Dr. Otitoju was buggled three days after Senator Melaye closed his case before the tribunal against Senator Adeyemi.
According to Dr. Otitoju, in the process of forcing their way into his office, doors, windows and other valuables were destroyed.
He said unknown to the hoodlums, no document relating to the case before the tribunal was kept in the office.
”My office was attacked by suspected armed gang looking for documents of cases in court.
”Unknown to them, the documents and files of cases were not kept in the office”, he said.
The tribunal led by Justice Isa Sambo adjourned sitting last week Thursday, April 23 2019 to April 28, 2019 when the Independent National Electoral Commission is expected to open its case.
Apart from Senator Adeyemi, Senator Melaye had also joined INEC and the All Progressives Congress, APC in the petition before the tribunal as respondents.
