The executive Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje has accused the federal government of Nigeria of abandoning his state, Kano.
Ganjduje who speak with BBC Hausa Said that Nigeria has abandoned Kano the time the state need help the most.
Recall that Kano State covid-19 case rise to 74 within the space of 15 days after first confirm case.
Another health challenge people of the state is facing currently is unknown, but as at yesterdays over 12 prominent Kano citizens has died in just a week.
The Governor while speaking with BBC Hausa, When asked if he was getting supports from federal government agencies on the fight against Coronavirus, the Governor replied: “Sincerely speaking, we are not getting deserved attention.
“If these equipment (testing centre) are under our control, we will do our best to make sure it works properly.
“But we are not getting the needed support and cooperation from Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.”
Kano covid-19 laboratory testing center was close down almost a week now because staff working in the were tested positive to covid-19.
Meanwhile Nigeria’s Health Minister, Osagie Ehanire, has already assured that the COVID-19 testing centre in Kano will resume operations on Monday.
Kano is seriously battling with strange illness, which has killed over 600 people in week.
