In his quest to mitigate crisis rocking the two neighboring communities over a farmlands squabble the immediate past Administrator of Koton-Karfe, Kogi local government area of the State, Hon. Barr. Chief Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku on Wednesday led some community chiefs, farmers and youths from Osuku, Onzo and Ohuma communities on the spot assesment and towards amicable resolution inline with recommendation of HRM. Ohimegye, Agaba Idu, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto and paramount ruler of Igu kingdom.
Barr. Tanko in a remark commended the support of all especially the farmers farming on the said farmlands saying their cooperation has made his job easy base on the blessing of Ohimegye in council who asked him to wade into the pending issue.
Barr. Tanko who is the incumbent Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the amiable Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs said he is here to see things for himself and ensure Ohimegye recommendation is passed and respected in order to avoid further squabble between the sisters communities.
Barr. Tanko is also known for his tactical approach, peace keeping and above all a man of all and sundry who is ever ready to ensure fair, justice and equity while discharging his official duty without fear or favour.
It would be recalled last month the Ohimegye Koton-Karfe Kingdom, Chairman Lokoja/Koton-Karfe traditional council of chiefs had asked Barr. Tanko in presence of the two communities to oversee the controversial farmlands and work out modality towards making peace for both community for ease of smooth running of their farming activities without further vendetta.
Barr. Tanko was accompanied by some Chiefs which include Chief Edekagbo Gaku, Chief of Edimose Gbadaragi and Ohinoyi of Ikumo Uzhee. Others include his former Chief Security Officer, Hon. Haruna Abacha, his friend Mr M A A Ibrahim, men and officers from Nigeria police and vigilante officers among others.
The versatile, result oriented and pragmatic legal luminary use the medium to inspect the farmlands with aims of ensuring no one trespass into another person portion.
On their part the community leaders has expressed confidence on his ability and capacity to deliver on the assignment given to him by Agaba Idu.
Similarly, Barr. Tanko proceeded to Osuku his country home where he met with HRH. Alhaji Hussaini Salihu Bayawo and Ohinoyi of Osuku in his palace and later met some youths where he equally counsel them on the need to always maintain law and order.
He replicated same visit to Ohinoyi of Onzo Edee, HRH. Hon. Idris Adangara Yakubu.
