Drink water used bathing husband’s corpse just to prove innocence of wife, not only movie, But still happens in some Families – Vivian

Some families have accused and abandoned their late brothers wife because of greed and hatred.
I have seen where a widow was ripped off all her late husband’s properties just because the family never liked her from the beginning, they see their late brothers death as an opportunity to deal with wife….In our Society,some widows were accused of killing their husband, I have never seen where a widower was accused of killing his wife….

A man will die the next thing some of the useless family members will throw the widow and the children out and take over the late husband’s properties not minding how the wife and the innocent children will fend.Ahhhhh!!!

Some have been forced to drink the water used in bathing the husband’s corpse just to prove their innocence. This is not Nigeria movie ,it still happens in some villages/Towns/Families.

Some useless brother in-laws will be asking their late wife to sleep with them even in her mourning time.Shame unto you if you are such an in-law.Shame unto you.

Some women abused their fellow women for been a widow,some will say ‘okwa egbula di’ meaning you have killed your husband.

Once one looses her husband, the society wants the widow to look tattered,dirty and ugly.once the widow dresses well,chi mooooo!! You will hear owuya gburu di yaooo.They will say She killed her husband, she is happy the husband is dead.Look at the kind of clothes she is putting on.She is not supposed to be looking good na,Shebi she lost the husband. Mechie onu GI there,so because she is a widow, she should die and follow the late husband ,abi?

There is no joy in widowhood and I believed no right thinking woman prays to be a widow.please,treat widows with love.is not easy loosing a loved one,some of them cries every night asking God why me?Your bad mouth won’t allow your late brothers wife live in peace after the demise of your brother.You always remind her you will deal with her and nothing will happen.
If you think she doesn’t have anyone,she have God and God will not allow her to suffer.He promised to be husband to the widow and father to the fatherless.
