It is cases like hers and the man from Obowo in Imo State that make people like us doubt some figures churned out by the NCDC and the PTF on this Covid-19.
Susan Idoko Okpe has been released after more than 50 days in forced quarantine, without receiving any treatments nor showing any symptoms, yet, she is officially, the index case of the pandemic in Benue State. How do we chew the fact that this woman didn’t even take an analgesic, yet, her results, according to the NCDC have all returned positive. Three tests, all positive for Covid-19, yet, she is free and out in the streets now, without having taken any drugs?
I believe in the existence of Covid-19, but I think the testing and figures, not just in Nigeria are controversial. The test kits are either not properly developed or scientists and some politicians are playing some kind of bad card with us.
