Eid-El-Fitr: Koton-Karfe Monarch Tasks Politicians, Muslim community on Virtues Of Love, Forgiveness, As Barr. Tanko, Hon. M. A. Tanko Okofi, Hon. Ecomog And Alhaji Ohikwura Pays Royal Homage

The Chairman Lokoja/Koton-Karfe council of chiefs, secretary Kogi State traditional council of chiefs and paramount ruler of Koton-Karfe, Igu kingdom, Ohimagye (Agaba Idu) His Royal Majestic, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto, has urged Islamic faithful in Nigeria particularly his Kimgdom to imbibe the virtues of love, forgiveness and peace as they join Muslims Faithful all over the world to celebrate Eid-El-Fitr after a long month ramadan fast.

Ohimagye made this known during Kogi LG political stakeholders royal visit to his palace in Koton-Karfe on Monday. He urged them to use the festivity to pray for Allah’s wisdom and direction for the nation’s leaders to lead on the path of fair, peace, unity and development.

The royal father also advised Muslims to extend their hands of fellowship to all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs.

The political leaders in the Kogi Local Government, ably led by some critical stakeholders among whom are the lawmaker who represent Koton-Karfe state constituency, Hon.Muhammed Abubakar Tanko Okofi, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Chief Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Security Matters for Kogi Local Government, Hon. Abdulkareem Isah Bala Ecomog and Kogi Local Government Council Treasurer Alhaji Chief Yusuf Abdullahi Ohikwura, paid sallah homage to the monarch in his palace in Koton-Karfe, the Administrative headquarters of Kogi LG.

Barr. Tanko in a brief remark thanked Ohimegye for being a wonderful father to them and entire Igu kingdom, described harmonious and peaceful co-existence among Kogi LG populace as one of the surest ways to achieve overall development for the area.

He further urged them to join hands to work for their land, pray for peace and unity in the host ancient town. Tanko who is also the immediate past Kogi LG Administrator.

Earier, Hon. Muhammed Abubakar Tanko Okofi, said they were at the palace to pray for the monarch and the royal family, in line with Egbura culture and tradition during festive period.

The lawmaker, who blamed the rising insecurity in the area on the side of some unfortunate elements working to thwart the already existing peaceful coexistence, unity of purpose and development in the domain, assured the monarch that the majority of the Kogi LG in Kogi State had intensified prayers to end the sad development.

Meanwhile, some high chiefs in council, scholars, youths also join Ohimegye to pray for enduring peace and tranquillity in the area.
