The Chief of staff to Governor Yahaya Bello Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku has debunked the claim making round various social media that he insulted Christians in his Radio Speech.
Statement issued by Abdulmalik Bin Abdulkadir, revealed that the said claimed were false.
Abdulmalik Statement read:
DISSECTING THE RADIO SPEECH OF PHARM. ABDULKAREEM JAMIU ASUKU, THE CHIEF OF STAFF TO GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO
Our attention has been drawn to a statement circulating round the media, that the Chief of Staff to the Governor Yahaya Bello, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku insulted Christians in his last radio interview. This statement is false in all entirety and the allegations however did not state how he had insulted Christians.
To put the record straight, this is the statement of the Chief of Staff verbatim that was misunderstood “…We the muslims in Ebiraland have begin to practice christianity because the Quran and Hadith that is followed by muslims didn’t record different denominations in islam, its written that God said we should recognize him as the only God. This is the same message God sent to Christians too through Jesus christ even though there are denominations in christianity today preaching that. There is nothing like Izala, Tijaniyya, Shiite etc.. in the Quran, we are all one….”
The above speech was from a man who preaches unity and togetherness but was regrettably and consciously misunderstood and overblown by mischief-makers whose joy and satisfaction is to see disunity amongst the people.
These mischief-makers are hell bent to mar the Chief of Staff’s spotless pro-togetherness and democratic records and lay the ground work for their wicked actions against the personality of Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku on false charges of being an anti Christians. That the Chief of Staff insulted Christians are lies of staggering impudence. His statement is just an innocent statement attesting that there are different Christian denominations like the Catholics and protestants. This is no way intended to attack or undermine the doctrines of the Christian beliefs. It’s just similar to saying that Christians are beginning to practice Islam by observing Sala’at. Indeed, we know that the Christians won’t take that as an insult except for mischievous people claiming to be speaking on behalf of the Christians.
The existence of division in the state along whatever perceived lines only exist in the imagination if airheads. As true Kogites, we have long passed that primitive stage that held us back for years. In all context and imaginations, Kogites are one large indivisible family.
Lailah Gifty Akita once prayed “May God deliver us from mischief”. Ofcourse for Mischief-makers known for deliberately causing trouble, there will never be a perfect speech and we don’t expect the Chief of Staff speech to be perfect to them. Ordinarily It’s best to ignore them and leave them to their misfortune but for the general public especially Christians it’s better to set the record straight as we honor our people to be deserving of explanations for our actions and inactions.
The New Direction Government of Governor Yahaya Bello have confidence in God and call on those bent on mischief to have the fear of God and retrace their steps.
Finally, we urge our people to ensure not to play into the hand of mischief-makers who wants to take advantage of our sanity to cause unnecessary tension because of politics of hate which they practice and their own selfish desires. They do this by pretending and disguising to be true with their intentions.
