Kogi Covid-19: We cannot comment on the claims by NCDC for now – Kogi Govt

Kogi State Government has reacted to the claim by NCDC, that they have confirmed two case of covid-19 in Kogi State.

NCDC has on 27th of May 2020 announced that two case of covid-19 were reported in Kogi State, the report come shortly after, Kogi State commissioner for health, Dr. Saka Audu announced that Kogi State is still free of covid-19.

The claim has generated different reaction from kogi residents, many debunked the claim stating that Kogi is free of covid-19.

Kogi government who react to the report through Evangelist Kingsley Olorunfem Fanwo the
Hon. Commissioner for Information, said that the state government cannot comment on the claim for now.

Fanwo said “What We Must Know…

We cannot comment on the claims for now. We got to know like every other person. So we are evaluating the situation and gathering the facts.
When we have all the facts and information, we will communicate our position adequately and appropriately.

Public health is a thing of great interest to the administration. Our people should remain calm as we gather the facts.”
