To mark the Children’s Day celebration on Wednesday, the Senate President, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, called for quality education and healthcare for Nigerian children.
He stated that the day was set aside for reflection of the living conditions of Nigerian children and the desire to give them a glorious future.
“I want to use the opportunity of this occasion to assure our children that the National Assembly is fully aware of the challenges that they face and will continue to work to guarantee them and our country a better future”.
Lawan, therefore, called on federal and state governments, as well as parents, to play their roles in attending to the plight of Nigerian children, in order to ensure peace, growth and development in the country.
