German Tactician Gernot Rohr Agrees Contract Extension With The Nigerian Football Federation.

Recieves Contract conditions....

The NFF has finally agreed a deal regarding a contract extension with German tactician,Gernot Rohr which would see serve as the Super Eagles Coach up until the year 2022.

There were rumours making the rounds that the Ministry of Sports wanted to bring in former Portsmouth manager,Harry Redknapp to replace the German. But such news was discarded as an announcement was made by the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick on Wednesday confirming that Gernot Rohr would continue as the coach of Nigerian’s senior football team and that decision was unanimously supported by the Ministry of Sports.

Coach Gernot Rohr who has arguably done well, leading the Nigerian team to the 2018 World Cup in Russia but did crash out at the group stages and coming out third place in the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt has been given further Objectives which included him leading country to the 2022 FIFA World cup and also winning the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.

Reactions trailed in after his extension was confirmed with a lot of Nigerians wishing him well and also giving him a lot of Conditions .Most notable of those conditions was given by the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare which listed as follows: That he must Scout for players from the domestic league for the Super Eagles, He must live in Nigerian for at least 10 months of the year. Those conditions also included that he must be able to build a “solid” B team for Super Eagles.

Furthermore, his salary would now be paid in Naira and not in Hard currency .He is Happy to continue as the coach of the Nigerian team but he’s ability to achieve all conditions given to him would require the full support of the Nigerian populace which I strongly believe he has already.
