Odion Ighalo who proven to be a very reliable striker since he joined United in January turning in 4 goals in 8 matches in all competitions for the club, had his future in a state of uncertainty with his loan deal at the club coming to an end. His return to China was imminent.
Contrary to that report, news emanating from sources within United has confirmed that a deal in respect to an extension of ighalo’s loan contract is close to an official confirmation. It is said that Ighalo would sign a new deal keeping him at the club up until January 2021.
Meanwhile he would have to sign a deal with his parent club Shanghai Shenhua which is thwarted to be around £400,000 which spans till the end of 2024 which would make him the highest paid African footballer in the world.
Shanghai Shenhua was initially resilient in allowing him stay at United but with the current Pandemic preventing him from travelling, Manchester united has finally agreed an extension of Odion Ighalo’s loan deal at the club – Pending an official confirmation.club has eased such resilience and has allowed him to stay.
