Ease of Lockdown: Churches Reopen

Following the gradual ease of lockdown in the country, Christians gathered on Sunday, 7th June to worship, however, they were warned to strictly adhere to the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Recently, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 released the guidelines for reopening Worship Centres which include the compulsory wearing of facemasks and providing hand washing spots at the entrances of the worship centres.

Another guideline was that volunteers in churches and mosques who have illnesses should not serve and the time for worship must not exceed an hour.

These guidelines as provided by the PTF will go a long way in curbing the spread of the virus.
