Number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now 12,801

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that 315 new cases of COVID 19 have been recorded in the country, bringing the total number of positive cases to 12,801.

This was disclosed in a tweet by the NCDC on Monday night.

According to the Centre, 128 cases were recorded in Lagos state, 34 in the FCT, 32 in Rivers, 28 in Edo, 22 in Oyo, 20 in Kaduna, 13 in Gombe, 8 in Ogun, 7 each in Delta and Kwara, 5 each in Plateau and Kano, 4 in Bauchi, and Katsina recorded 2 cases.

The reports show that 4,040 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged, while 361 have died.
