FG suspends aviation company that flew Naira Marley to Abuja

The Federal Government has suspended the aviation company that flew Naira Marley to Abuja for his concert where he flouted the social distancing rules.

This was announced by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika at the daily briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID19 today, June 15.

According to him, an approval was given to the aviation company to fly Justice Adefope Okoji from Lagos to Abuja for an official assignment.

He said that the flight was scheduled for June 14 but the aviation company decided to fly on June 13 with Naira Marley for his concert.

Sirika said the action of the aviation company is a violation of the government’s approval.

He announced that the operations of the flight company is suspended indefinitely and that they will be fined maximumly according to the law.

He also said the captain of the flight will be sanctioned for providing false information.
