Two sentence to 14yrs in prison For Rapping 17yrs old Girl in Akwa Ibom
Two computer instructors in a popular computer centre in Nkemba Street, Uyo, who gang raped a 17-year-old girl in Eda Street, Uyo on 19th February, 2018, have been sentenced to 14 years in prison.
They were convicted this morning by the Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo.
The convicts are 20-year-old native of Ikono and 20-year-old native of Ituk Mbang in Uruan Local Government Area of the State.
Justice Okon Okon found the accused guilty of rape and convicted them without any option of fine.
He held that the convicts cooked rice with leaves which the Police suspected to be Indian hemp for the minor who was their computer student and upon eating it, became weak and drowsy, an opportunity they used to rape the girl.
