Gov. Bello hails Kogi born veteran broadcaster, Tom Adaba as He Clock 79 Years

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has hailed Veteran broadcaster and Chairman TRIM Communication Ltd, Dr. Thomas Adaba, OON, on the occasion of his 79th birthday anniversary, describing him as a worthy ambassador of the Confluence State.

The Governor made this known in his birthday message on Thursday through a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed.

Governor Bello described the Media Icon as a perfect role model for the younger generation who were determined to make exploits in their chosen career.

He mentioned that his achievements in the media industry both on the field and in administration remained remarkable as he has written his name in Gold and has made his home country, Okene and State proud.

Governor Bello remarked that the celebrant was recognised as an administrator per excellence being the pioneer principal of the National Television College in Jos and the first Director General of National Broadcasting Commission.

The Governor affirmed that his legacies and doggedness helped to stabilise and strengthen these institutions which were today helping to ensure professional conduct in the main stream media terrain in the country

He added that apart from being a professional icon, Dr. Thomas was a man of stern principle and reputable character who treated all with the fear of God and always placed collective interests above selfish agenda.

Governor Bello prayed that God would give the celebrant more years in good health so as to enable him continue on the path of honour by being a positive influence to the generations after him.

Dr. Thomas Adaba, OON was born in 1941 in Asaba, he worked as a teacher in Catholic School, Okene, then as a Tutor at Government’s Teachers College, Okene and Bichi, Kano and a Lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between the years 1961 – 1974, before venturing into Media practice.
