Captain Madrid,Sergio Ramos was at it again with another goal to save the Los blancos’ blushes. It was another game, another victory and another Sergio Ramos goal for Real Madrid, stepping up to claim victory once with another penalty in the closing stages of the game.
Zinedine Zidane ‘s men kept their composure and it actually paid off with Marcelo being fouled in the 18 yard area. The challenge was initially waved off but from much pressure the referee to the VAR monitor on the touch line and later confirmed that Marcelo was actually fouled, prompting him to point to the spot and give the penalty.
Sergio Ramos stepped up with 17 minutes left on the clock to put Real Madrid ahead. The goal later stood to be the only goal of the match.
It would interest you to know now that Sergio Ramos now has 10 goals for Madrid this season with is effort today, five in his last seven games since the restart in June.
The victory now puts Madrid seven points above Barcelona who play Villarreal later tonight in what is a must win for Setien’s men. Meanwhile, Bibao remain in 8th position two points behind city rivals Real Sociedad in the race for the Europa league spot.
