Man to die by hanging for armed robbery
A man has been sentenced to death for armed robbery by an Abeokuta High Court in Ogun State. On Tuesday, one Lukeman Kuti was sentenced to death by hanging.
Having been arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery, Mr Kuti had pleaded not guilty to the charge.
However, while delivering judgment, Justice Ayokunle Rotimi-Balogun said that the evidence tendered had convinced the court beyond reasonable doubt that the convict committed the offences.
Thereafter, she sentenced Mr Kuti to death by hanging.
