Club guards have allegedly attacked some officials of the Lagos State Safety Commission.

The incident happened in the Ipaja area of Lagos while the COVID-19 enforcement operatives were enforcing the ban on social gathering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Mr Seun Awojobi, the Technical Adviser of the commission, alleged that the team was attacked at Osigold Hotels and Bar.

He said that no fewer than 100 people were found present at the location, which contradicted the infectious diseases law of the state.

He added that the government workers were shot at for attempting to seal the hotel.
