Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed Chelsea to get the better of Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Saturday, earning Frank Lampard his first major trophy as a manager.

This weekend?s game at Wembley will be a repeat of the 2017 final, in which the Gunners put in a magnificent display to beat their London rivals 2-1.

Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey – who are both no longer at the club – got on the scoresheet that day against a 10-man Blues side.

Arsene Wenger claimed his record seventh FA Cup win and the Gunners? 13th, as they overtook Manchester United to become the most successful side in the history of the competition.

Chelsea had already wrapped up the Premier League title in the 2016-17 season, while Arsenal finished fifth, however, this time around their situations are very different.

Both Lampard and Mikel Arteta are aiming to secure their first pieces of silverware in their budding managerial careers.

After replacing Maurizio Sarri last summer and having to contend with a two-window transfer ban, Lampard guided his former club to a fourth-placed finish.

Meanwhile, Spaniard Arteta took over from Unai Emery in December, but couldn?t stop Arsenal finishing outside of the top six for the first time in 25 years.
