Attack Where 5 killed 14 kidnapped, House Burns: Communities In Toto, LGC Count Loses Appeal For Support

Authorities of Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has this Saturday carried out on-the- spot assessment in Dausu community, Umaisha Development Area following recent attacked by unknown gunmen that led to the death of five persons and 14 abducted while houses and properties burnt into ashes.

The Executive Chairman, Toto Local Government Council, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda, who led other officials of the council, Operation whirl stroke and police led by the DPO, Toto Local Government, S.P.Caleb Tabwassan called on the bereaved to take solace in God.

He called on the state government and other spirited individuals to come to the aid of the people whom where currently displaced to other parts of the local government area.

The chairman called for calm among his people , promising to report the matter to the appropriate quota, stressing that the people need urgent assistant in term of food and shelter.

He appreciated the efforts of the state government in addressing security challenges in the area and by extension the state .

The village head of Dausu, Mallam Idris Mundi who took the team round the now deserted village briefed them on the situation noting that the people have lost their love ones and properties worth millions of naira and appealed to the state government and spirited individuals to come to their aid.

Recalled that at about Eleven midnight of Monday 27th July,2020.unknown gunmen attacked Dausu village in Umaisha Toto LG killed five persons,kidnapped fourteen others and set the village on fire.
