Edo 2020: Tambuwal Wades Into Obaseki, and Shuaibu Feud Order Governor To Release Fund For Campaigns

Sokoto state governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal has intervened in the feud between governor Godwin obaseki of Edo state and his deputy, Mr Phillips Shuaibu.

Shuaibu, as of last Thursday, at PDP leadership meeting accused his boss of starving various commitees set up for the September 19 state governorship election of fund.

He has declared that the governor is been Unserious ahead of the poll

He accused the governor of exhibiting unseriousness in winning the gubernatorial poll,
Pointing out that while the APC has in earnest began it campeign all over the state, the PDP has exhibited lethargy and downright being imperious, no thanks to the unseriousness to the governor him self .

A source close to the party disclosed that following the heated argument, that the governor of sokoto state sneaked into the ancient city of Benin to speak with the two

At the meeting, Tambuwal agree with Shuaibu, and charged the governor to release funds for the election before the one coming from the national body of the PDP.

Tambuwal therefor pleaded with Shuaibu to be calm and urged the governor to do the needful.

Obaseki who tried to control his temper, express his frustration for acquiring the N20 billion loan which he intended to use in funding the election.

He further lamented that Shuaibu is not unaware how much we spent in trying to oust Adams oshiomohle From the position of national chairman of the APC, for which he expected his deputy to show understanding.

Gov obaseki however Promised to released N50 million for Hon. Pascal ogbome who is leading the campaign in Edo north.

The money that was gathered was released on Saturday .

He further assured that he will release N100 million to charles Idahosa and few other leaders in Edo south on Monday, so they could kick off campaign.
