Serie A final day: Juventus lose again but gains consolation on the fact that the league title is already secured.

Juventus 1-3 Roma

Champions Juventus were on Saturday night defeated yet again this time at home to AS Roma in what has proven to be Juventus’ worst end to a season in recent years.

This is the first time Juventus are losing a Serie A home game since April 2018 when they last lost to Napoli. Juventus have lost their last two matches since they won the league title last week finishing the season with a loss to Roma.

Though they rested some key players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus went ahead in the fifth minute through Gonzalo Higuain but moments later Nikola Kalinic drew Roma levelled with a thumping header. Diego Perotti put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot just before half time. He then added another to give Roma it’s third goal against the Turin side after a stunning run from Nicolo Zaniolo.

Juventus ends the season just one point above Inter Milan. They will now switch attention to the Champions League were they face Olympique Lyonnias in the round of 16 second leg clash on Friday.
