Shoprite, Africa’s largest FMCG retailer is exiting the Nigerian market after 15 years.
The retailer based in Cape Town has started a formal process to consider the potential sale of all or a majority stake in its supermarkets in Nigeria.
It revealed this in a trading statement released for the 52 weeks to end June.
