Late Senator Buruji was a drug Baron, Who run drugs across 3 continent – Bucky

Buruji Kasamu is dead. Covid-19 felled him.

No matter what one thinks of the deceased, every death is a tragedy for that person’s family, friends, and supporters.

Buruji was wildly popular among the grassroots. Aside VP Osinbajo, both Buruji and Gbenga Daniels were probably the most beloved Ogun State grassroot politicians.

Both Buruji and Daniels were terrible leaders. But that’s a point for a different day.

Buriji Kasamu was allegedly a nototrious ruthless drug baron who ran a drug network spanning 3 continents. When indictments were filed against him in the USA, he fled to England. The British held him for 5 years while he fought extradition to the USA. When he was released over a legal mash-up, he fled to Nigeria, where he proceeded to use his ill-gotten wealth to ensure he was above the law; he became a Nigerian politician. And thus virtually untouchable.

The DEA could not nab him. Nigerian courts refused to do the needful re extradition. The Saraki-led 8th NASS shielded him when the FG and USA govt tried to revive the extradition fight. After falling out with the PDP, he tried running for the Ogun State Governorship but failed.

All that is moot. The man is dead. He is facing a heavenly court where no bribes or legal shenanigans can delay justice. I pray for him that he has the only Advocate who can turn things around for him.

Buruji was an evil wicked man. I had really hoped he would finally be extradited to the USA to answer for his crimes but that was not to be.

Death cannot be bribed or delayed. Millions of dollars cannot save on the day death comes knocking. Do good while alive.

As for Obasanjo and his sneering letter masquerading as condolences??? mcheew
