Lagos Govt, NGO partners to rehabilitate the vulnerable youths

The Grace Springs Rehabilitation Home, an NGO based in Lagos State has initiated a rehabilitation programme for children between 10 and 17 years of age in an efforts to taking care of vulnerable youths in Lagos, for rehabilitation and empowerment,

The Diversion Community Rehabilitation Program as it is being called, according to a release signed by Hero Edoror, Head of Publicity, of the initiative, is non- residential and for children who are in conflict with the law or children that have committed minor offences.

One of the major objectives of the programme is to reduce child abuse and other vices which are inimical to youths in the society, while giving the children a sense of belonging through the training that they will go through at the centre.

The programme which is being supported by UNICEF, Lagos Ministry of Youth and Social Development, covers Mushin, Oshodi, Shomolu, Kosofe LGAs, Bariga and Odi- Olowo LCDAs.
