The Statue of Christ in Rio De Janeiro ready to be reopened

The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro which has been deep cleaned is ready to open to the public today.

The monument has been closed to the public over the past five months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Military personnel disinfected the entire area surrounding the statue ahead of the opening.
