Capacity building training/workshop, By Senator Oseni to Trained 150 youths in Kogi Central declared open in Okene

The initiated capacity building training and workshop by Senastor Yakubu Oseni to train 150 Youths in Kogi Central has been declared open at the Federal College of Education, Okene.

Senator Oseni representing Kogi central in the red chamber disclose the development on his official Facebook on 17th of August 2020.

Oseni in his statements, say that 150 beneficiaries were drown across five Local government in Kogi central.

He said the workshop which will last for 10 days will teach youth on how to repair phones and computer, after which they will be presented with computer to start their own business.

The Senator said “With strategic collaboration with relevant Federal Government agencies, yours sincerely has been able to draw 150 youths across the five local government areas of Kogi Central for capacity building on digital economy.

The capacity building training/workshop was declared open at the Federal College of Education, Okene a few hours ago.

The youths (artisans) will undergo ten days intensive training on phone and computer repairs, general ICT training and others. The beneficiaries will be equipped with computer set to begin their business which will engage more youths in their respective areas.

My Dear Constituents, this skill acquisition programme I believe will be more beneficial to our youths as against the unsustainable items for satisfaction of immediate hedonistic needs.

By the grace of God, I will continue to give you what you need and not what you want. The era of empowering youths with guns and other destructive items has gone with the past political dispensations. Digital technology rules the economy and we cannot afford to be lagging in this aspect.

This programme is in phases. Others that are yet to be captured will be involved in the next phase. Therefore, you can be assured of more of this in the days to come.”
