EFCC Recovered New N130 Millions from Previous Administration — Kwara State Gov

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has reveal that Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has recovered new N130 Million from the previous administration.

The Governor who made this known on his official Facebook page on the 26th of August 2020, says that when the money is recovered, it will be invested into social intervention and infrastructural development for Kwara people.

He said “I have just been informed by the new zonal head of EFCC, Mr Oseni Kazeem, that they have recovered new N130m public funds looted in the previous administration.

“Just like the other recovered funds, this too, when received, will go into funding social interventions and infrastructure for our people.”

The governor therefore thank the EFCC for the work well-done, pledge continued support on their part.

He said “We thank the EFCC for their activities and our administration will continue to support them. On our part, we want to run a responsible government and that is why we embrace the idea of social audit which means all contracts we do can be inspected by individuals or civil society organisations and make recommendations to the government.

We know why people voted us in and we know why they voted out the previous administration. We don’t want to repeat the same mistakes committed by the previous administration. So, we will continue to run an open government and make sure the right things are done.”
