Resumption of international flights postponed to September 5

Resumption of international flights in Nigeria has been postponed to September 5.

This was disclosed by Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), who said that international flights will not be able to resume until September 5, 2020.

This is a week’s postponement from the August 29 date previously announced by the government.

At the media briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Thursday, August 27, the DG of NCAA said that there are non-aviation logistics that are not yet in place for resumption.

“We need to get these all ready and in place so that we have a smooth and efficient resumption of international flights without difficulties for all the passengers,” he said.
