The Ban Of Trucks Plying Minna/Bida Road Takes Effect From 15th Of This Month — Niger State Govt

Mary Noel-Berje the Chief Press Secretary to The Governor of Niger state reveal this in a statement on 1st of September 2020.

In view of the intention by the Niger State Government to ban articulated vehicles from playing Minna-Bida road to allow for speedy completion of the road construction, the State Government has announced that the ban will be effective from 12 midnight of 15th September, 2020.

The Chairman, Infrastructure and Monitoring Committee Ibrahim Balarabe stated this on behalf of the State Government after an expanded meeting of the Committee held at the government house, Minna.

The State Government maintained that the ban is not to inflict pain on any person or group of persons but to improve on the road Infrastructure of the State.

While the modalities for the ban will be made Public as events unfold, the State Government regrets any inconveniences this may cause the people and called for the coorperation and support of the people to ensure that the desired objective is achieved.
