Boko Haram Killed 20 Soldiers, Many missing Took away Gun Trucks in A fresh Attack

No fewer that 20 Nigerian soldiers lost their lives and several others remain missing after two separate attacks by Boko Haram’s Islamic State-backed faction.

Sahara Reporter, in a report said that “the fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province in trucks fitted with machine guns overran a military position in Magumeri late on Tuesday, killing about 10 soldiers.”

“We lost 10 soldiers in the ambush, five were wounded and several are missing, their fate still unknown,” according to a military officer who confirmed the report

Three vehicles including an armoured tank and an excavator were burn down by the terrorist at the base.

Another attack that claimed 10 lives of soldier occur at Garin Giwa Village in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno state.

The assault was lead by a notorious jihadist known as Umar Lene on Wednesday with two other Boko Haram commanders to attack Nigerian troops stationed in the town, killing about 10 of them.

The terrorist succeeded in taken two guntrucks from the troops, who were on a routine patrol when their convoy came under attack.

In the past months, soldiers have been targeted by the insurgents, who lay ambush on their path. 

Over 150 soldiers were killed sin July this year.
