His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today performed the official commencement of the distribution of mobility chairs to ninety persons with disability across Bauchi state.
At the ceremony held at Banquet Hall, Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala said the distribution of the mobility chairs by an NGO based in Germany, bruderhilfe,(social development initiative) followed his recent visit to Germany where he signed an agreement with the NGO.
He said his administration has opened up Bauchi to international organisations for them to assist in improving the living conditions of the citizens of the state.
The Governor said the state under his leadership will continue to work with relevant individuals regardless of political differences to provide citizens with the required services.
He said his administration will soon Commission Agency for the Persons Living with Disability for them to access government’s intervention.
Governor Bala assured judicious distribution of the tricycles to ensure it reach targeted beneficiaries.
The Chairperson of the NGO, Mrs Marry Bruder said the distribution of the tricycles is to contribute at reducing the sufferings of the beneficiaries.
She said the NGO is ready to partner with the state government in the areas of Education and Health.
Beneficiaries thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for working towards finding lasting solutions to some of their challenges especially his desire to Commission Agency for Parsons Living with Disability
