Kogi APC holds state working committee meeting, set yo release LGA election timetable

The State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kogi State Chapter on Monday held a crucial meeting as it pertains to the upcoming Local Government Council election scheduled to hold on the 12th of December, 2020.

In an address made by the State APC Chairman Hon. Abdullahi Bello, he welcomed members of the Executive and expressed his unreserved gratitude for their resilience, hardwork, dedication and congratulated everyone on the party’s well deserved victory at the Supreme Court, Abuja. He further urged everyone to put hands on deck and ensure absolute victory for the party ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections in the State.

According to a statement read, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) guidelines, the All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby wish to announce that a comprehensive feasible election timetable can only be released after ratification by leadership of the party. Also, an Adhoc Committee will be set up across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State to address all pre and post election matters.

In a closing remark, it was unanimously agreed upon that all Female Aspirants and Physically Challenged Aspirants shall be given 50% of the prescribed fees for each position. While the need for all political actors to play by the rules of the game was deeply emphasized with the consciousness that the interest of the party was to clinch the twenty one (21) Local Government Areas of Kogi State.
