Ahead of Kogi council election slated for 12th December 2020, the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, lead by the Chairman, Maman Nda Eri took the tour to Kogi Local Government Area to sensitize the indigenes.
The Chairman in a statement, stressed on the needs, importance and significance of electorate to be sensitize to get them acquainted with the electoral guidelines and modalities.
Speaking further, he said, traditional institution also have a vital role to play prior to the election date in extending to sensitization to the grassroot to encourage and mobilize eletcorate to turn out in mass for electioneering.
The Ohimegye Igu Koton Karfe, Abdulrazak Gambo Isah Koto, in his response, welcome and appreciate the Commission for the initiative of sensitization.
He assured the Commission of his maximum cooperation in reaching out to grassroot. The Ohimegye added.
