Chairmanship Zoning tussle in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Keep lingering with different outraged.
Alleged Zoning to zone A by LG party PRO, Abdullahi Idris following a meeting converges yesterday 20th of September 2020, has generated many reaction in the Local Government.
Reacting to the Zone, in a statement sign by Saidu Osuku Daudu, urge Kogi LG people to debunked the said report, stating that the earlier arranging, which was all agree for Zone B to produce next Chairman remain as the resolution.
According to Mallam Saidu Osuku Dauda , Kogi LG APC Youth Leader, as he described himself in the statement read:
“The attention of the Kogi LG All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a misconception of facts by one Abdullahi Idris Baba, LG APC PRO where he alleged that the party has Zoned the chairmanship position to Zone A in Kogi LGA.
The said Abdullahi Idris Baba is not speaking for the party rather successfully installed himself as spokesman for Abdulkarim Bala ECOMOG who is also one of the Chairmanship Aspirants in Kogi LG.
The controversial APC PRO completely failed to reeled out what really transpired during the LGA APC Executives council meeting which held some months ago where it was resolved that after Zone B produce elective Chairman its expected that Zone A and precisely Girinya ward in the council to follow suit in the interest of equity, fairness, unity of purpose and ease of administration in the area.
On Sunday 20th September 2020, the LG Executives reconvened again and this time around the party resolved unanimously and affirmed their earlier decision on the basis that after Zone B produced its Chairmanship position then it will move straight to Girinya ward in Zone A .
The party wish to use this medium in reaching out to our teeming supporters and youths that the status quo remain as the stakeholders of our great party are yet to come out with final resolution.
The party is also angered with the way and manner the incompetent APC PRO decided to stand on a personal opinion where he was reported to have received #1,500 to rubbish the party hard earned reputation.
The disciplinary committee of our great party is equal to the task and will soon invite the controversial PRO to answer a query into the devilish hatchet job he has done to destroy our great party.”
