Lokoja Tanker Explosion was Cause by Bad Spot on the Road — Austin Okai

Tanker Explosion in Lokoja, Kogi State capital that killed over 20 people today morning has been attributed to bad spot on the roads.

Speaking on the incident by PDP national Youth leader, Austin Okai said that the Tanker was trying to avoid bad spot on the road when it lost control.

Austin who share his reaction on his Facebook page said “The tanker fell while trying to avoid a bad spot on the road and lost controls the victims of the incident were burnt beyond recognition and the burnt vehicles were said to be the ones behind and in front of the tanker.

Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred around 8:30am when the tanker lost control and rammed into oncoming vehicles”.

The incident lead to the deaths of Primary schools pupils, business women and men, and Kogi State polytechnic students.

Kogi Polytechnic students to the street in the city to express their anger over the incident, by blocking some major roads in the city their by causing gridlock.

Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has since sympathize with the family of the victims, the governor thereby call on Kogi Polytechnic students to calm down that state government is with them.
