“As part of our efforts to increase transparency on how public funds are spent, today I received an independent report arising from our social audit regarding the construction of the Kwara State College of Education Road, Ilorin.
The report showed some discrepancies between the work done and what we actually approved. To rectify this, we are stopping further payment to the contractor in charge of the project and I have also ordered the Ministry to determine what refunds would be made to the public coffers after reconciling the extra jobs the contractors claimed to have done and the quantity of jobs not done.” Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq disclosed in a post made available on his Facebook page
