Kwara State Govt announced October 5th, and 12th for Schools Resumption

Kwara state government has announced October 5th and 12th for the resumptions of schools in the state.

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq who disclosed the development con his Facebook page, said that the resumptions of schools was made possible after training teachers on how to protect themselves and students from covid-19.

According to the governor, primary and secondary schools are to resume on October 5th, while state own tertiary institutions are to resume on October 12th 2020.

According to the governor “After we have held various trainings for teachers on how to protect themselves and students from the COVID-19 infection and ensured improved manpower in monitoring and case tracings, we hereby direct the reopening of primary and secondary schools from October 5, 2020.

Similarly, state-owned tertiary institutions are to reopen from October 12 or as may be determined by their respective governance structures.

COVID-19 is still with us. We urge school authorities to ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to, including physical distance, use of face masks, and constant washing of hands with soap and water, in order to flatten the curve of transmission of the virus. We will continue to do our best to keep our people safe at all times.”
