The Killings In Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Of Kogi State Is Worrisome; The Need For Urgent Security Attention

Recall that Just in less than 2months, two elder statesmen were reportedly shot and murdered, yesterday it was a young promising policeman and today four (4) promising youths who are themselves hardworking and resourceful were killed. I use to medium to call on the attention of the Kogi State government to as a matter of urgency Declare the state of emergency in Dakina Local Government of Kogi State.

However, that is not enough, serious measures has to be taken to ensure total eradication of the insecurity. As Obasanjo once said, “gun can’t do it alone”, therefore other measures have to be taken to avoid any uncalled event..

I’m a graduate of Kogi state University. During my days in school, i often hear about the threat to the lives of various important people on the campus. The more important a person becomes, the more he becomes a possible target for violence. At present, the students live under a perennial fear of threat and a great sense of insecurity haunts them.

Governor Yahaya Bello is known to be a security conscious and proactive personnel who has bagged National recognition in dealing with insecurities in the state. Alas, the reoccurring insecurity incident in Dekina local government should as a matter of concerned be prioritized by deploying state security apparatus to help cushion the ugly insecurity in Dekina Local government of Kogi state..

Some of our politicians need to answer alot of questions about these incessant killings. Investigation should be carryout to bring the perpetrators to book and i pray the wrath of God visit those sponsoring the blood thirsty vampires letting the blood of innocent civilians.

Even if you can’t provide the basic amenities for us, just let us live in peace please!  
