Landmine Planted By ISWAP Killed Nine Soldiers In Borno

No fewer than Nine Nigerian Soldiers lost their lives as truck conveying the Soldiers hit Landmine Planted by ISWAP, Two security sources confirmed the report to AFP.

Source who disclosed the report say the incident happen on Wednesday in Borno State.

The Convoy of the Soldiers was said to have Struck on the Landmine planted by the Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP) while traveling to Malam Fatori.


 AFP, however, noted that the trucks were heading to a place called Malam Fatori, where the Nigerian and Nigerien army has been battling the guerrilla fighters.
 
“We lost nine soldiers in the incident,” the first source said.
 
“The mine was planted by ISWAP terrorists who operate in the area and against whom soldiers are fighting,” the second source said.
